Artimedia has been awarded £2,000 by AOL's Community Awards Scheme to help develop and Asian Women's Web Portal for Yorkshire. The project aims to provide a web portal run by and for Asian women living in Britain. The AOL award will fund intial work by the project volunteers - Nisah Khan and Rashmin Kapadi. Nisah is leading on developing the business side of the project, while Rashmin will take the lead on developing and editing content. Next week Nisah and Rashmin are going to the Houses of Parliament for an awards ceremony along with representatives of thirty other projects that are being assisted by AOL.
