The CD features 140 samples of archival material held by the North Yorkshire County Records Office and articles by two practicing teachers demonstrating how they would use these archival resources in delivering the curriculum at key stages one, two, and three.

Although the application was always intended to be distributed on CD, it was actually authored using a web-based edit and display system. Using the web as an authoring environment allowed collaborative development whereby archival experts could publish material while teaching experts could also publish related material without having to wait for eachother. The design team also could work on design and structure issues without having to wait for resources. Read on to see more of how the application works
